Terms of Service

Last updated 14 August 2026

These terms cover using the ControlDeck dashboard and Discord bot. They are deliberately short and plain — if something here is unclear, ask us before relying on it.

Agreement

ControlDeck is operated by Georgi Mushatov, an individual established in Bulgaria (“we”, “us”). By adding the ControlDeck bot to a Discord server, or by signing in to the dashboard, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What the service does

ControlDeck lets Discord server staff build application forms, publish them to a channel, collect answers from applicants in direct messages, review those answers with multiple reviewers, apply roles on a decision, and keep an audit trail of staff actions.

Who may use it

  • You must meet Discord’s own minimum age requirement for your country and comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
  • To connect a Discord server you must have permission to manage that server.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account and by the staff you grant access to.

Your responsibilities for applicant data

This is the part most worth reading. You choose what an application form asks. If you ask for personal information, you are the one responsible for collecting it lawfully — including telling applicants why you want it and having a legal basis to hold it.

  • Do not use forms to collect sensitive data (health, political or religious views, sexual orientation, government identifiers) unless you genuinely need it and have a lawful basis.
  • Give your staff access only where they need it, and remove access when they leave.
  • Handle applicants’ requests to see or delete their answers — the data is in your server, and you control it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use ControlDeck to harass, discriminate against, or unlawfully profile applicants.
  • Attempt to access data belonging to servers or users you are not authorised to see.
  • Probe, overload, disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or circumvent rate limits and access controls.
  • Resell or rebrand the service as your own without our written permission.
  • Use the service for anything unlawful, or in breach of Discord’s Developer Terms and Policy.

We may suspend or remove access to servers or users that breach these terms, and where a breach is serious we may do so without notice.

Price

ControlDeck is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will give reasonable notice beforehand, and features you already rely on will not become paid without that notice — you will always be able to stop using the service instead.

Availability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. We depend on Discord’s API and on third-party hosting, and outages in those are outside our control.

Your data and backups

How we handle personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Keep your own records of anything you would be unwilling to lose — you should not treat ControlDeck as your only copy of important application data.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or loss arising from moderation decisions you make using the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Because the service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is currently nil.

Ending use

You can stop at any time by removing the ControlDeck bot from your Discord server. We may end your access if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue the service. Removing the bot stops further data collection but does not by itself delete data already stored — see the Privacy Policy for how to request erasure.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and we will give notice of material changes in the dashboard or the support server. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria, and the courts of Bulgaria have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
